Professional Summary

Lili-Maxx Hager is an Assistant Producer at Artangel, where she works across the production of large-scale contemporary art projects, supporting artists and working closely with venues, communities, local authorities, funders and cultural partners. Her recent projects include Come As You Really Are by Hetain Patel, The Last X Years by Jay Bernard, and Earth Rising, an international project involving two concept albums created with 22 artists based worldwide and partnerships with nine residency spaces internationally. She also works across Artangel’s artist development programme Making Time, supporting artists and academic partners to explore sustainable creative practice.

Prior to joining Artangel, Lili-Maxx worked at UP Projects, where she produced the organisation’s digital commissioning programme This Is Public Space. Her projects included 576 Tears by Zach Blas, Welcome to BioNet by Shu Lea Cheang, The Terrarium by Shezad Dawood and Wet Signal Voice Gardens by Kari Robertson. She also produced Zach Blas’ Profundior (Lachryphagic Transmutation Deus-Motus-Data Network) for the 12th Berlin Biennale of Contemporary Art. 

Lili-Maxx has worked in Berlin and London for The University of the Arts London and various publications including the Observer New Review and Exberliner Magazine.

Lili-Maxx holds an MA in Arts and Cultural Enterprise from Central Saint Martins, where her research focused on accessibility within the arts and cultural industries. She previously studied Culture, Criticism and Curation at the University of the Arts London. Her practice is particularly interested in access, participation and the ways artists and cultural organisations can create more inclusive forms of engagement.
